Object:- to relieve distress suffering and poverty by the provision of safe temporary accommodation for women and their children, young people and vulnerable adult dependants who are, or have been, experiencing domestic, sexual or gender based violence or abuse The direct benefits flowing from this include the reduction of risk from homelessness

and an increase in safety through access to crisis refuge accommodation for women and their children, providing a safe, secure environment. These benefits are demonstrated through occupancy statistics, evaluations completed by beneficiaries using the service and records kept in respect of assistance given and outcomes achieved. Object:-. to relieve distress and suffering experienced by women and their children, young people and vulnerable adult dependants by providing and/or promoting a range of support services such as information, advice centres, confidential services, counselling, outreach, court support, training and advocacy The direct benefits flowing from this include a reduction in risk, an increase in safety and an increase in resilience ensuring an increased capacity to engage with other agencies, to take up other services. These benefits are demonstrated through evaluations completed by the beneficiaries using the services and records kept in respect of assistance given and outcomes achieved. Object:- to relieve those in need by the provision of information and advice for those affected by domestic, sexual or gender based violence or abuse and referral to relevant support agencies The direct benefits flowing from this include increased awareness of domestic and sexual violence and its impact on women, children and young people using our services and of the supports available from other specialist organisations. These benefits are demonstrated through statistics kept on people asking for information and on referrals to other agencies. Object:- to advance education on violence against women and girls, including trafficking and exploitation, and its effects, and to relieve those in need by promoting its prevention and the protection of those affected The direct benefits flowing from this include an increased awareness of the issue of violence against women and girls amongst policy makers, legislators, service providers, justice agencies and others. These benefits are demonstrated through the requests for information and training made upon the organisation and in the shape of policy, legislation and service provision influenced by this educative work. Object:-to advance education on domestic, sexual and gender based violence and abuse and their effects, and to advocate for and to relieve those in need by promoting their prevention and the protection of those affected The direct benefits flowing from this include an increased awareness of the issue of violence against women and girls amongst policy makers, legislators, service providers, justice agencies and others. These benefits are demonstrated through the requests for information and training made upon the organisation and in the shape of policy, legislation and service provision influenced by this educative work. Object:- to advance women’s and children’s human rights and gender equality to relieve the suffering and distress caused by violence emanating from the violation, impairment or nullification of enjoyment of their human rights and fundamental freedoms. The direct benefits flowing from this include a fairer and more equal society in which rights are safeguarded and respected. These benefits are demonstrated through changes and improvements in legislation, service provision, such as specialist services for victims and attitudinal changes. There is no harm arising from these purposes. The charity's beneficiaries are women, children and young people at risk of or experiencing domestic violence. There is no private benefit flowing from these purposes.

Charitable purposes

The Objects of the Charity for the benefit of the public are: 3.1. to relieve distress and suffering by the provision of safe temporary accommodation for women and their children, young people and vulnerable adult dependents who are, or have been, experiencing domestic, sexual or gender based violence or abuse; 3.2. to relieve distress and suffering experienced by women and their children, young people and vulnerable adult dependents by providing and/or promoting a range of support services such as information, advice centres, confidential services, counselling, outreach, court support, training and advocacy; 3.3. to relieve those in need by the provision of information and advice for those affected by domestic, sexual or gender based violence or abuse and referral to relevant support agencies; 3.4. to advance education on violence against women and girls, including trafficking and exploitation, and its effects, and to relieve those in need by promoting its prevention and the protection of those affected; 3.5. to advance education on domestic, sexual and gender based violence and abuse and their effects, and to advocate for and to relieve those in need by promoting their prevention and the protection of those affected; 3.6. to advance women’s and children’s human rights and gender equality to relieve the suffering and distress caused by violence emanating from the violation, impairment or nullification of enjoyment of their human rights and fundamental freedoms.
