The purpose of Vision International Ministries is the advancement of the Christian Religion and the relief of poverty (combined with assistance in the provision of education) for the benefit of the public with specific focus on advancing Christianity and relieving poverty in Malawi. Malawi is one of the poorest counties in the world, often
suffering from drought and famine but yet without war or tribal unrest. The Charity raises funds by operating a charity shop selling donated goods which provides funds allowing it to achieve these purposes through the following activities; • The charity is involved in the establishment and support of Christian schools in Malawi. These schools and attached feeding projects advance the Christian religion through the teaching of Christian principles while helping some of the poorest people in Africa. • The Charity established the Nadazi School in Malawi between 2003-2007 which is a full primary school with approximately 1250 children currently enrolled, registered with the Malawi Education Authority. Around 300 of these children are orphans. The school consists of teaching facilities, teacher’s houses, toilets blocks and a borehole. The Charity provides continuing financial support for the school to continue in operation. • The Charity has also established “The Emily Garrett” project in Malawi which is in an isolated region of the country and funded entirely by Vision International Ministries. It comprises a Community Christian Church, a primary school, orphan home, borehole and toilet block. There is also an important feeding station for children suffering from hunger. Ongoing financial support for this project will continue exclusively from Vision International Ministries. • The Charity has also established two independent feeding projects (Katome Orphan Care and Bonds Orphan Care) in rural villages each with the 50 most vulnerable orphans. These programmes are financed fully by Vision International Ministries.
