Public benefits

The direct benefits that flow from the purposes include access to housing and accommodation for members of the public who are living in poverty or are in need of assistance due to age, ill-health or disability. Provision of suitable housing reduces levels of poverty, stress and anxiety and so improves the health and well-being of those in housing

need. The benefits to the public are evident in that recognisable housing is provided to those identified above who are in housing need and through regular feedback from tenants by means of a tenant survey and a tenants forum. No harm or possibility of harm is envisaged. The charity intends to benefit people living in Northern Ireland who are experiencing poverty or are in need due to their age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship and who require access to housing and accommodation. A private benefit to trustees may arise from a programme of training in good governance. Through this training trustees gain skills and experience which are transferable to other settings. These benefits are incidental and necessary to ensure the benefit is provided to our beneficiaries.
