Public benefits

The direct benefit which flows from purposes include beneficiaries will have access to education and opportunities improving the Beneficiaries conditions in life; beneficiaries will have more information on health issues and different leisure and recreational activities within Northern Ireland and this will help to improve health within the

Beneficiaries; the organisation will introduce the Nigerian culture to Northern Ireland for the benefit and enjoyment of everyone living in NI. It hopes to promote Nigerian culture thus educating the wider public and ultimately leading to a better understanding of different cultures and community cohesion and relieve the feelings of isolation, anxiety and deprivation that may be experienced when moving to a new country. The benefits will be evidenced through feedback from education opportunities; a decrease in the amount of Beneficiaries that are in need in Northern Ireland as they are helped in getting the correct support that they need in order to ensure their health and wellbeing is not negatively impacted with stress and anxiety. There is no harm flowing from this purposes. The beneficiaries are Nigerians living in Northern Ireland. There is no private benefit.

What your organisation does

1.By providing information or education to Nigerian descendants and other ethnic minority groups in Northern Ireland about the cultural values of Nigeria. 2. By carrying out research on regular basis on how to project and enhance a good image for Nigerians in Northern Ireland and how to participate in the community development.

Charitable purposes

The Association is established for the advancement of education among people of Nigerian origin (hereinafter called the “beneficiaries”) in Northern Ireland (hereinafter called the “area of benefit”) and for the advancement of education among the general public in the area of benefit and in particular; to provide or assist in the provision of facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation or other leisure time occupation of people of Nigerian origin, so that their conditions of life may be improved. To promote good race relations and good citizenship between the beneficiaries and the general public in the area of benefit. To raise awareness of Nigerian cultural heritage for the benefit of the general public and the beneficiaries in the area of benefit. To advance any other exclusively charitable purpose as the Executive Council may, from time to time, decide in accordance with the law of charity.
