The benefit arising from Naíonra an tSléibhe Dhuibh is a service to the community of Irish medium play, volunteering opportunities, employment, training opportunities and a community asset. The direct benefits which flow from the purposes of Naíonra an tSléibhe Dhuibh include a service to the community of Irish medium play, volunteering

oportunities, employment, training opportunities and a community asset. These benefits can be demonstrated by the provision of a detailed and well planned playgroup service through the medium of Irish providing children with free play. It also provides a stimulating environment which develops the children's fluency in Irish, social and emotional skills and gives the children on leaving the setting having an acquired immersed provision allowing them to progress steadily and with little or no transitional issues to pre-school Irish medium provision using their 2nd language acquisition. There is no harm arising from any of the purposes. The charity's beneficicaries are children aged 3-4, parents through literacy, numeracy and ICT workshops, staff through training and experience,volunteers through training and students through placements. There is no private benefit flowing from any of the purposes.

Charitable purposes

Naíonra an tSléibhe Dhuibh is established to promote play based learning environments for all children under statutory school age, (hereinafter referred to as the beneficiaries) the Naíscoil and its surrounding environs in Upper Springfield (hereinafter called 'the area of benefit') without distinction of age, gender, marital status, disability, sexual orientation, nationality, ethnic identity, political or religious opinion, by associating the statutory authorities, community and voluntary organisations and the inhabitants in a common effort to advance education, and in particular: a) to advance the education of the beneficiaries by the provision of safe and satisfying group play, with the right of parents/carers to take responsibility for and to become involved in the activities of Naíonra an tSléibhe Dhuibh; and to promote the preservation of health of the beneficiaries; and b) to support the values and principles of Early Years
