The benefits flowing from the organisation's purposes are the advancement of the Christian faith and of knowledge of theology and mission amongst participants; the Individuals trained as Pastor Educators and their improved ability to educate others concerning the Christian faith and to spread the Christian message; the Christian work
supported establishing new churches, working in youth mission and in mission overseas and the resultant effect on advancing and spreading the Christian faith. These benefits are demonstrated through the monitoring information gathered and feedback received from participants/ beneficiaries, and the annual accounts and report of the Trustees. There is no harm arising from these purposes. The Charity's beneficaries are the general public within Ireland and elsewhere. Individuals receiving grants to assist them to undertake training in Ministry or education in theology so they can become pastor educators will derive private benefit but this is necessary and incidental consequence of the Trust pursuing its charitable purpose of advancing the christian faith for the public benefit.

The Trust carries out its purpose by the provision of memorial lectures on theological topics/ or reflecting on Christian mission; the provision of grants to individuals committed to serve as Pastor Teacher’s to assist them to obtain the relevant training and education they require in ministry or theology; and by the provision of grants to fund
the work of others engaged in church planting, youth and overseas mission. The Trust will provide ‘The Clive Memorial lecture’ a public lecture held periodically (this is anticipated to be initially on an annual basis) promoting theological topics closely associated with Clive’s emphases during his lifetime in ministry, or alternatively reflecting his interest in Christian Mission. The Trust will provide financial support to assist individuals committed to service as Pastor Teachers, whether in Ireland or elsewhere, on a theological basis in accordance with the Thirty Nine Articles of Religion. The Trust will financially assist the individual concern to undertake either ministry training or alternatively a theological education. Assistance will only be provided where the individual concerned is not eligible to receive significant financial assistance from another source or sources. The Trust will provide financial support to assist with funding the work of individuals engaged in church planting, youth mission or overseas ministry, upon a theological basis which is in accordance with the Thirty Nine Articles of Religion.
