Stewartstown Development Association was founded in the early 1990's. The Association oversaw the construction of the Crieve Centre, named after the ancient name of the village, which contains a small number of industrial and retail units, as well as a community meeting space. This is the only neutral venue in the Stewartstown area which provides
shared meeting facilities for a wide range of cross-community groups. The facility (offering disabled access) also helps deliver community-based projects such as local history projects, Stewartstown Pantomime Society and the Village Area plan. The Association also provides meeting and conference facilities at very affordable rates to community and voluntary organisations.
