Public benefits
The direct benefits that flow from the Young At Heart Club are improvements in the mental well-being, physical fitness and cultural and educational understanding. The charity's beneficiaries are typically over 55 and we measure success and satisfaction with our services via level of involvement, direct feedback after events and trips, support
from overall community, reduction in rural isolation, engagement with other community groups (both inside and outside Annaclone) and occasional questionnaires on happiness with our services. The possibility of harm, e.g. physical injury incurred by participation in the walking club or tea dances is substantially outweighed by the benefit and significantly reduced by policies/procedures in place to address risks (e.g. safeguarding health & safety policy and code of conduct for volunteers). There is no private benefit flowing from this purpose. Health checks at events show good indicators and increased fitness among Young At Heart community (especially regular participants in our walking club and tea dances. Reduction in rural isolation through high community participation in regular events and via direct interviews and discussions with our members. No. Again, the beneficiaries are over 55s living in Annaclone and surrounding environs. None

We run quiz nights, tea dances, and have a
music night. We also have aerobic classes and a walking club which meets multiple times each year.
