Public benefits

The direct benefits flowing from this is the provision of facilities to churches and charities who in turn provide improvement of spiritual social and emotional welfare to people across Northern Ireland, the provision of education to the young people attending, teaching values that will enable them to participate in society as mature and

responsible individuals and the improvement of their physical, mental and spiritual welfare. A moral improvement in society and the improvement of physical, mental, social and spiritual welfare of the people attending. It provides an opportunity for people who may otherwise be marginalised and lonely within society to meet with others and receive encouragement and support. The support of the organisations to which grants are made allows them to pursue their work with people across the world. The benefits may be demonstrated through reports received from organisations who receive support and from feedback given from people who attend meetings or other activities. No harm is anticipated by the trustees. Primarily people living in the Banbridge area of Northern Ireland, across Northern Ireland and worldwide. The trustees are particularly conscious to avoid classification as protestant or catholic within the Northern Ireland context. The trustees ensure that events are held in ‘neutral’ venues to ensure they are accessible by all sections of the community. No private benefit is foreseen save that the trustees and members of their families will attend the meetings and activities organised by the charity. These benefits are incidental and necessary to ensure the benefit is provided to all members of the public.

What your organisation does

TCCC rents premises in the Banbridge area which it makes available to other charities and churches. TCCC holds a youth club open to teenagers. TCCC organises and facilitates a Bible study and fellowship time in which people from the community meet for Bible study and prayer. TCCC makes grants of money to organisations working to relieve hunger

poverty and social deprivation worldwide. TCCC makes their premises available each week for people living in the area. This ‘drop in’ is open to all ages.
