PURPOSE 1: The Advancement of Education: The direct benefits flowing from this purpose include increased access to and participation in education and training including vocational training by residents of the area of benefit. PURPOSE 2: : Any Other Charitable Purpose (provision of facilities): The direct benefits flowing from this purpose include

the provision of facilities for residents of the area of benefit which is an area of multiple deprivation to associate together using the facilities provided in the centre to enhance education, and to promote social welfare, recreation or other leisure time activities with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants. These benefits will be demonstrated by recording the numbers of people who access our services and measuring these against the targets established our annual action plan. There is no harm that be discerned as flowing from this purpose. The beneficiaries are the people of Ballymagroarty, Hazelbank, Bealach Mor, Foyle Springs, Templegrove, Whitehouse, The Branch, Norburgh Park, Shanreagh, St Eithne’s Park, Hawthorne Grove, Sheriff’s View, Sheriff’s Mountain, Coshquin, Springtown Park and the neighbourhood together defined by the Directors without distinction of sex, sexual orientation, race or of the inhabitants. The only private benefits which flow from our charity’s activities apply to those who are employed to manage and run the charity. These are incidental and necessary for the provision of benefit to the intended beneficiaries.

What your organisation does

BHCP delivers on a number of key aspects of the strategic development of the community. It currently holds the position of the Chairperson of The Outer West Neighbourhood Renewal Partnership (OWNRP) Health Forum and The education Forum whilst having a key responsibility in the delivery of the OWNRP's Physical Renewal, Economic Renewal and The Youth

Forum. BHCP delivers several Community Education Courses specifically designed to develop and empower the community in the area. The organisation also hosts and organises several community of the area. The organisation also hosts and organises several community events including Family Fun Days, Christmas Events and various cultural events throughout the year. It designs and develops bespoke training to support local community groups and support the youth within the community, providing them with opportunities to gain additional qualifications and learn in a manner and environment that is conducive to them. BHCP seeks to improve the social health and education of the community, within the area of benefit, by chairing the Outer West Health Forum, and building community capacity to identify need and to develop and implement health and educational initiatives in partnership with statutory providers and the community within the area of benefit. BHCP also works to develop initiatives aimed at improving community safety within the area of benefit.

Charitable purposes

a. Promote the benefit of the inhabitants of Ballymagroarty, Hazelbank, Bealach Mor, Foyle Springs, Templegrove, Whitehouse, The Branch, Norburgh Park, Shanreagh, St Eithne’s Park, Hawthorne Grove, Sheriff’s View, Sheriff’s Mountain, Coshquin , Springtown Park and the neighbourhood together defined by the Directors (hereinafter called ‘the area of benefit’) without distinction of sex, sexual orientation, race or of inhabitants and the local authorities, voluntary and other organisations in a common effort to advance education and to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and leisure-time occupation with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitant’s; b. Establish, or secure the establishment of a Community Centre (hereinafter called ‘The Centre’) and to maintain and manage the same (whether alone or in co-operation with any local authority or other person or body) in furtherance of these objects; c. Promote such other charitable purposes as may from time to time be determined.
