What your organisation does

WINI carries out its' purposes through the delivery of a number of programmes and events. WINI delivers Information Days and workshops to disadvantaged communities across Northern Ireland both Urban and Rural. WINI provides health information directly to grass roots women who distribute this on a peer level basis within family and local

communities. WINI also provides practical help from growing food, to obtaining good quality food at source to cooking produce to help address health inequality and give women and their families the skills needed to have a healthy lifestyle. To help local ,women contribute to peacebuilding and have an affect on policy and legislative issues directly impacting on their lives, WIMI provides access to training on leadership and capacity building; support Geographic Information Groups across Northern Ireland giving local women an opportunity to be consulted and feed back information to Politicians at local, National and European levels; WINI is also proactive in the development of an effective and accepted mechanism to ensure the flow of information from local grassroots women, decision makers and back to the women. WINI works in partnership with a wide range of other agencies and Women Sector organisations to do this. WINI also uses social media to inform women. WINI provides the secretariat for Reclaim the Agenda and International Women's Day events

Charitable purposes

The Company is established to advance education and to relieve the need of disadvantaged women in Northern Ireland through exclusively Charitable means and in particular; (a) To empower and support disadvantaged women through the provision of information, skills and knowledge, (b) to assist women address health inequalities in disadvantaged areas of Belfast and Northern Ireland, (c) to provide and build bridges and mutual respect across sectarian and racial division, (d) to provide information and support services for women in rural and isolated areas.
