Public benefits

The direct benefits which flow from purpose 1 include are that the Muslims will be able to fulfill their daily congregational prayer and celebratory requirements, be able to direct Muslims in the area to source Halal food which is an essential dietary requirement for Muslims, and that the families will be given the opportunity to get to know other

families living in the area. The direct benefits which flow from purpose 2 is to encourage Muslims to engage with the wider community such as local charitable bodies, promote social cohesion and contribute to the general well-being of the wider community for the benefit of all in this multi faith community to create a warmer living environment. The benefits of purpose 1 will be evidenced through the documentation and annual reporting of all activities. The benefits of purpose 2 will be evidenced through the documentation and annual reporting of all activities. There is no harm arising from the purposes. The beneficiaries of purpose 1 are the already established and newly arrived Muslim families in area of Lisburn and surrounding areas The beneficiaries of purpose 2 are the local Muslims community and the general wider community There is no private benefit arising from the purposes.

What your organisation does

Purpose 1 will be carried out by providing a place for the community to engage in congregational prayer, arranging religious educational circles, celebrations such as Eid, providing information for daily necessities such as halal shops, butchers and restaurants and arranging family events that suit the Islamic principles of social conduct. Purpose

2 will be carried out by organising events with local charity groups and bodies, open events with the general local community and attend local meetings concerning general local welfare.
