Public benefits

The purposes of Diversity and Integration Initiative Limited are: (1) To relieve those in need (including those in financial need, hardship and distress), to advance education and training and to promote good health and wellbeing for the public benefit in particular that of young people under the age of 25 years, migrants of all backgrounds and

such others as the trustees see fit from time to time (including former offenders, recovering drug addicts, rough sleepers and other people with few opportunities) in the Northern Ireland The direct benefits flowing from this purpose include acquisition of soft skills that either compliments formal education or enables people with few opportunities to acquire skills that gives them an opportunity to access the labour market. Also included is civic education. This benefit can be demonstrated through the new knowledge on social entrepreneurship which enables young people to think out of the box and explore new alternatives to labour market like social entrepreneurship route offered as part of the training programme for unemployed young people and people with few opportunities. (2) To act as a resource for young people up to the age of 25 years by providing advice and assistance and organising educational and training programmes and other activities as a means of: a - advancing them in life and helping them by developing their skills, capacities and capabilities to enable them to participate in society as independent, mature and responsible individuals; b- advancing their education and training including education in human rights as set out in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and subsequent United Nations conventions and declarations), equality and diversity and conflict transformation and reconciliation and social entrepreneurship; c - relieving their unemployment; and d - Relieving their charitable needs. One of the direct benefits of this object is the understanding and knowledge of intercultural learning and dialogue. Young people will learn how to manage shared spaces and a clear understanding of human rights and social rights. This can be demonstrated by the ability of young people to work in a multicultural space and leveraging diversity. Diversity and Integration Initiative is out to help young people to acquire relevant skills that can further their employment opportunities which includes training in leadership skills, team leading skills, basic knowledge of how to handle job interview questions and cv writing support sessions. Support with targeted job search and basic computing support by granting access to office computers in their preparation for job interviews. Also, this object and associated skills will enable young people of migrant background to know their basic human rights and to be the gate keepers within their communities, knowledge of other cultures dynamics and understanding of how to engage will help in transforming conflicts and create a safe society. (3) To promote social inclusion for the public benefit among young people, people who are migrants of all backgrounds, and such others as the trustees see fit from time to time, including former offenders, recovering drug addicts, rough sleepers and other vulnerable people in Northern Ireland who are socially excluded on the grounds of their social and economic position, their ethnic origin, religion, belief or creed in particular, members of the faith community and minority groups This is a method to promote social inclusion and integration and belief has been seen as very important to the lives of migrant and minorities. The skills pursued through this object will open Black and Ethnic Minority groups to others perspectives. This is will create an interfaith dialogue opportunities and mutual coexistence. Charitable purposes
