Public benefits

The direct benefits which flow from purpose one (advancement of education) include enhanced knowledge and understanding as well as improved enjoyment of education by the children and young people participating in the educational activities. The direct benefits which flow from purpose two (advancement of Christian faith) include the adoption of a

moral framework which encourages the children and young people participating in the programmes to be good citizens. The benefits which flow from purpose three (advancement of amateur sport) are improved physical and mental wellbeing from participating in sport, potential improved teamwork and social skills by the participating individuals and increased participation and retention in sport. The benefits which flow from the advancement in education are demonstrated through feedback from the participants and leaders. The benefits which flow from the advancement of the Christian faith can be demonstrated by feedback from the children and young people as well as monitoring their engagement in further Christian activities. The benefits which flow from the advancement of amateur sport can be demonstrated by monitoring numbers of participants and feedback from the coaches and participants. There is no harm flowing from purpose one and two. In relation to purpose three, the possibility of harm by physical injury through participation in sport is outweighed by the benefit. The risk is reduced by having qualified coaches who adhere to the policies and procedures in place to reduce such risk. The charity's beneficiaries are children and young people living predominantly but not exclusively in Northern Ireland. There is no private benefit flowing from any of the purposes.
