Public benefits
The direct benefit which flows from the advancement of arts and culture is that there is an increase in both the numbers and quality of participation, engagement and appreciation of those attending and engaging with theatre and performing arts. This is helped through the creation of provisions to help reduce the barriers to accessibility of the
theatre. This leads to improved health and wellbeing for the Beneficiaries, increase in confidence and strengthening community cohesion and diversity and also helping to alleviate social isolation. The direct benefit which flows from the advancement of education is that professional, amateur and community skills, standards and creativity are improved, thereby raising the quality of theatre and performing arts output and increasing employment in this area of the economy. The benefits will be evidenced through qualitative and quantitative data collection including: feedback from participants at training, skills development workshops, networking events, conferences and seminars. Further evidence will be provided through ongoing monitoring, social media data analysis, external professional evaluations which includes academic and other research. There is no harm arising from the purposes. The charity's beneficiaries include: Performing arts practitioners and cultural and arts organisations, young people, people in communities, vulnerable people, older people, people with physical and learning disabilities, people in rural areas, the general public at large, audiences and those with an interest in theatre and the performing arts. A private benefit to trustees may arise from our programme of ongoing training in good governance, finance etc. Through this training trustees gain skills and experience which are transferable to other settings. These benefits are incidental and necessary to ensure the benefit is provided to our beneficiaries.
