The direct benefits that flow from the purposes include improved health outcomes for children who are patients or former patients and reduced levels of stress and anxiety amongst children who are patients or former patients and amongst their parents and staff of The Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children. These benefits are evidenced through
feedback from patients, patients' parents and from play therapists. This feedback is both verbal and written. These purposes do not lead to harm. The beneficiaries are children who are patients or former patients of The Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children. There is no private benefit flowing from this purpose.

We provide items which enable qualified hospital staff to care for the children by providing extras such as distraction toys, medical and educational equipment, computer games, TVs and gifts at Christmas. This makes children (and parents) more comfortable during their time in hospital.

Charitable purposes
a) To relieve the sickness and distress of children who are patients of The Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children by supporting the staff and parents in caring for such children in the said hospital. b) To assist in the improvement of facilities and in the provision of additional clinical equipment at the said hospital. c) Generally to support the charitable and educational work of the said hospital and to provide the play therapy department with additional funds to assist in their work.
