Public benefits

The Advancement of Religion: The direct benefits which flow from this purpose include raising awareness and understanding of Christianity and the personal benefits associated with the Christian faith provide an inherent benefit to society often demonstrated through the provision of health, education and literacy. Through the acceptance of and

living a lifestyle in line with the teachings of the Christian faith many have been freed from addictions, criminal behaviour and family lives improved. These benefits are evidenced through regular feedback and evaluation of the charities supported using a variety of methods including verbal conversations and anecdotal observations. Beneficiaries are people world-wide. Grants are paid direct to recognised charities and organisations and as such there should be no private benefit. The Prevention or Relief of Poverty: We aim to support those in need by assisting in immediate relief of poverty and through the support of those involved in the implementation of sustainable development projects. With regard to immediate (emergency) relief of poverty, we help provide material items such as food, clothing, clean water and shelter. By supporting sustainable development projects, these allow families and communities to produce food and become self-sustaining. The benefits which flow from this purpose include the alleviation of hunger, the provision of shelter and the relief of poverty. These benefits will be evidenced through a reduction in disease and mortality rates and a general improvement in health and welfare. It is highly unlikely that there will be any harm flowing from this purpose. If there are any harmful effects these should be outweighed by the benefits. The beneficiaries will be those living in poverty or deprivation, irrespective of race or religion. Beneficiaries are people world-wide. Grants are paid direct to recognised charities and organisations and as such there should be no private benefit. The Advancement of Education: We support the provision of education, whether formal or vocational, primarily in developing countries, to those who would not otherwise be in a position to receive same. The beneficiaries are children and young people who would not otherwise have access to education irrespective of race, gender or religion. The benefits which flow from this purpose are: (i) The moral and intellectual development and enhancement in knowledge and understanding of individual beneficiaries. (ii) An improved sense of wellbeing and increased self-esteem of individual beneficiaries as they develop new skills, capabilities and knowledge. These benefits will be evidenced through better examination results and progression to further studies, with beneficiaries ultimately equipped to enter into employment. It is highly unlikely that there will be any harm flowing from this purpose. Any harmful effects should be outweighed by the benefits. Grants are paid direct to recognised charities and organisations and as such there should be no private benefit. The Advancement of Citizenship or Community Development: We support local community based initiatives through the provision of financial assistance towards programmes, running costs, equipment and Special Projects. The benefits that flow from these purposes are moral and intellectual development, skills development and Community wellbeing. The main beneficiaries are Communities in the UK, Ireland and across the world. The benefits are evidenced through regular feedback and evaluation of the various Charities/Community groups supported as well as in the anecdotal observations. It is highly unlikely that there will be any harm flowing from this purpose. If there are any harmful effects these should be outweighed by the benefits. Grants are paid direct to recognised Charities and organisations and as such there should be no private benefit. The Advancement of Health or the Saving of Lives: We provide funding to support the provision of healthcare initiatives and medical aid in whatever form may be appropriate to those deprived of such provision by their economic circumstances. The main beneficiaries are people living world-wide. The beneficiaries are those in need of basic healthcare services, irrespective of race, gender or religion primarily in developing nations. The benefit which flows from this purpose is the improved health and welfare of individuals and society in general. These benefits will be evidenced through improved health and a reduction in disease and mortality rates. It is highly unlikely that any harm will flow from this purpose. Any harmful effects should be outweighed by the benefits. Grants are paid direct to recognised charities and organisations and as such there should be no private benefit.

What your organisation does

The Trust has a preference in supporting Christian organisations seeking to bring relief to poor and needy communities such as: 1. Those providing food, shelter, medical care and education in the case of an emergency appeal. 2. Those working overseas delivering Sports and/or Manual skills programmes encouraging the development of young people in

deprived communities. 3. Those supporting Mission Hospitals and Medical programmes overseas in order to deliver improved health and reduce disease. Any Grants are made at the discretion of the Trustees. The Trustees reserve the right not to enter into correspondence with any organisation should a request for a grant have been unsuccessful.
