Public benefits
The directors believe that both our purposes satisfy both elements of the public benefit requirement. The direct benefits that flow from purpose one include: Parents and families benefit from a ‘One Stop Shop’ with a flexible affordable service tailored to their needs: half or full day care, Playgroup, After Schools Club, wrap around care,
Nursery/School drop offs/pickups where required and holiday care. Children are provided with inclusive, sensory, fun & stimulating learning experiences which support and nurture all areas of learning & development. Their confidence and skills are enhanced thereby building foundations for a happy, secure childhood. Staff benefit from training opportunities that enable them to develop individual capabilities, competences and understanding to support the children’s learning & development. Students benefit from training placements enabling them to develop practical skills in Childcare. To date we have not undertaken any activities under purpose two. The benefits from purpose one are evidenced through the increasing demand for places in Happy Days and from both verbal and written feedback from parents/carers and staff. Many parents/carers have provided feedback through writing cards and letters. These have been collated in an album which is on display in the foyer. An annual Family Questionnaire provides more structured feedback. Benefits are also evidenced through an annual Social Services inspection. Written observations of children provide evidence of their individual progress towards developmental milestones and age appropriate transitions. To date we have not undertaken any activities under purpose two. There is no harm arising from purpose one. To date we have not undertaken any activities under purpose two. The beneficiaries of purpose one are children (0-11), parents/carers and staff/students as adult learners, irrespective of ability, religion, culture, race or means. To date we have not undertaken any activities under purpose two. There is no private benefit from purpose one. To date we have not undertaken any activities in furtherance of purpose two. The trustees will ensure that any such future action will be for public benefit and will be exclusively charitable in line with Charity Commission guidance.

Happy Days is an excellent Childcare Centre operated by Ballymoney Church of God that has a reputation as a responsive, community based Church and has long nurtured a vision to provide a full time facility to meet the requirements of families in the wider community. Happy Days opened in May 2011 with just 8 children and has grown to a thriving
centre presently operating at full capacity with a very healthy waiting list. There is a spirit of excellence at the core of all services provided and a good reputation has been established among parents, agencies and the wider Community. Happy Days is open Monday to Friday from 7:45am to 6:00pm and provides flexible and affordable childcare to meet the needs of parents/carers in the Ballymoney area catering for children from 6 weeks to P7. Parents and families benefit from a ‘One Stop Shop’, this includes: half day care, full day care, Pre-school Playgroup, After Schools Club, wrap around care, Nursery & School drop offs and pickups where required and holiday care for school aged children. We are registered with Social Services to provide 104 places on a sessional basis i.e. mornings, afternoons or full days and there are currently 129 children on our register. The first class facilities make the best use of space and provide a welcoming and stimulating environment for all children. All aspects of children’s needs are catered for and there are separate rooms set aside for the different age groups. These are packed with lots of exciting age appropriate materials and equipment - Little Treasures (Babies), Precious Pearls (Wobblers) Gems of Genius (Toddlers), Ready Rubies & Little Learners (Pre School age) and Wise Owls (After Schools). A Pre School Playgroup also operates morning sessions within the Little Learners Room (at present we have not been allocated Education Board places).
