The benefits of The Junction Club is to provide a day time facility for the charity's beneficiaries, i.e. adults with learning disabilities. The member run the Club for themselves with the support of 2 Belfast Health & Social Care Trust staff. The Club aims to give its members the opportunity to develop skills to support them in their daily
lives. The Club is committed to promoting citizenship and inclusion for each member. We work closely with community organisations to give members the same opportunities as others. The Club offers its members an environment where they can come together, build relationships and receive support. The Club aims to provide members with activities they enjoy and are therapeutic. The benefits are identified though members participation and annual feedback. The members are actively involved in the decision making process and at our Annual General Meeting reflect on the success of the past year activities and achievements. Any harm arising from participation in activities is risk assessed and the benefits out way the risks. Staff are Access NI checked, they also adhere to the Belfast Trust Safeguarding policy and the Club has its own Safeguarding policy for its member. Membership of The Junction Club is open to adults over the age of 19 with a learning disability, who live in East Belfast/Castlereagh area, who choose to attend the Club and are sufficiently skilled and independent to do so. There are no private benefits flowing from The Junction Club.

The Junction Club is committed to promoting citizenship and inclusion for each member. In partnership with the Belfast Trust, carers and other agencies, we develop a wide range of inclusive activities for our members by continually developing links within our local communities.
