Public benefits

The objects of the Company shall be:- 'to promote the benefit of the inhabitants of NI and it's environs (the "area of benefit") without distinction of sex, race or political, religious or other opinions by associating with the statutory authorities, voluntary organisations and inhabitants in a common effort to advance education and provide

facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and other leisure time occupations with the object of improving the conditions of life for said inhabitants'. The trustees of REACT Ltd are satisfied that the purposes "objects" of REACT Ltd satisfy both elements of the public benefit requirement. The direct benefits that flow from the purpose include; As a result of delivering education and awareness raising sessions to the inhabitants of Northern Ireland there is an increased knowledge and awareness of substance misuse issues leading to reduced substance misuse and associated risk taking behaviour. An increase in accessing educational opportunities for both young people and adults through the courses delivered by REACT Ltd and advising and supporting enrolment in other educational establishments such as Colleges of FE. An increase in the numbers of people accessing specialist statutory commissioned services to improve mental health and physical well being. Provision of a drop-in facility to provide opportunities for increased social and recreational opportunities. The benefits are evidenced through statutory funder commissioned professional independent external evaluation and internal client satisfaction and outcome surveys. Independent evaluations and internal client surveys have not identified any harm associated with the achievement of the purposes. Over 500 people over the last 5 years have been educated to Northern College of Further Education (NCFE) Level 1 accreditation in substance misuse studies and mental health awareness and received certificates as evidence of achievement. Private benefit is incidental to the delivery of services to achieve REACT's purposes and include salaries and travelling expenses which are covered in the section related to private benefit. The beneficiaries of this purpose reside in Northern Ireland.

REACT Ltd is a UCAS registered centre. REACT Ltd delivers NCFE accredited education courses covering alcohol and drugs misuse, mental health and personal development. It provides a social and recreational facility and provides advice signposting and support to access a wide range of services including drugs and alcohol, mental health,

relationships, sexual health, resilience, eduction and training and employment.
