Public benefits

The direct benefits which flow from the purpose of Lisnaskea Womens Group are the improvement of the lives of women in the Lisnaskea area through increased knowledge and education; poverty is reduced; health and well being is increased through support and guidance and activities are provided for women to attend in their leisure time. These

benefits are evidenced through three meetings a month, courses and vast range of programmes made available to the members and the evaluation of these activities to ensure they are meeting the objects of the group and the needs of the members. There is no harm arising from any of our purposes. Women in the Lisnaskea area. There is no private benefit flowing from any of these purposes.

What your organisation does

Lisnaskea Women's Group has provided a range of activities in the area including computer training, craft work, flower arranging, gardening, knitting, sewing and crochet, aqua aerobics, yoga and old time dancing. The group has also arranged talks on various subjects e.g community safety; health issues and rural issues. A number of events have also

been delivered including a fashion show and an art exhibition. We also network with local organisations, attending conferences and health fairs.

The Group is established for the benefit of women in the area of benefit by the provision or assistance in the provision of facilities for the advancement of education, relief of poverty, preservation of health and for recreation or other leisure time interests of social welfare and with objects of improving the conditions of life of the said women.
