The direct benefits which flow from this purpose are: 1. Inhabitants of the Mid and East Antrim Borough can access information on substance abuse and addiction from a locally based organisation. They can also access information about other statutory or voluntary organisations that may be able to offer help and support. 2. Families of those
suffering from or recovering from addiction can access information on support services available from other agencies therefore increasing understanding of addiction issues. These benefits are evidenced through: Monitoring the number of people attending meetings Monitoring the number of people accessing support and information from the organisation Monitoring the number of participants attending training courses and information sessions The production of reports to funders that show targets are being met Monitoring the number of referrals to the Group from other groups/agencies No harm arises from this purpose. The beneficiaries include inhabitants of the Mid and East Antrim Borough that are recovering from or are suffering from addiction and their families. A private benefit flowing from this purpose is that trustees may gain training and information that would be of use in another aspect of their life. This is an incidental benefit and is necessary to further the purposes of the organisation. Family members of trustees access the services offered by the group. They will be offered the same services as anyone else wishing to access the service. This benefit is incidental and necessary in order for beneficiaries to access the services of the group.
