Public benefits

Tiny Tots Parent and Toddler Group enhances the development and education of children under the statutory school age by encouraging parent/guardians to understand and provide for the need of their children by offering appropriate play facilities (including toys, play dough, crafts and rhyme time), with the right of parents/carers to take

responsibility for and to become involved in the activities of the group. The group offers opportunities for all children, regardless of religion, culture, race or means. The children benefit by gaining social skills and learn to socialise with other children in group activities while having their parent/carer nearby. The parent/carer benefit from being able to come together, thus encouraging social interaction with other adults, in what is a relatively remote/rural setting. We are members of the Early Years organisation and follow Early Years guidelines. There is no private benefit associated with this purpose and or to any individual members of the group and all services are provided voluntarily.

What your organisation does

Tiny Tots Parent and Toddler group is a community run, friendly informal parent/carer and toddler group which serve to meet the needs of all pre-school children and their parents/carers in the Derrylin area and surrounding community. The Group is open to all parents/carers from the local area who come along and complete a short registration form

without being associated with any statutory, voluntary, community or religious organisations. We provide opportunities for social interaction for both children and parents/carers. There are a variety of toys and activities for babies and toddlers to enjoy, including play dough, crafts and rhyme time. Refreshments are provided for adults and toddlers. We operate once per week, on a Thursday morning from 10am to 12noon during term time. We are overseen by a voluntary committee made up of parents / carers from the local community.
