Whiterock Crèche Assoc ltd/trading as Whiterock Children’s Centre operates within a social economy framework and are a local employer in an area of high unemployment and social disadvantage. We are a non profit taking organisation with all income being reinvested in our charitable purposes The Charity’s beneficiaries are children, children with a

disability, ethnic minority children, families/parents, parents returning to education/ training or employment, community groups, and our work in schools with parents and children together. Our work as lead in the family support hub enables us to support the families most in need within the Upper Springfield area .Our work with Black and minority ethnic families enable us to support their integration into the wider West Belfast Community. Any benefits to board members is through training i.e. (child protection ect) .The purpose of our work is evident in the continued demand for our service and the positive outcomes for the children and families we work with.All our services are made available to local people from the Upper/Springfield Whiterock area but our work with Black and minority ethnic families is offered through out the whole of West Belfast. The direct benefit that flows from this is that it enable parents or /carers to seek employment ,training or education. Our family learning staff work in local schools offering programmes for parents and children together the direct benefit that flows from this is that parents become more involved in their childrens education enabling the adults who may have had a negative experience of education to value it in a more positive light. We offer daycare to children through the sponsored daycare through Belfast health and social care trust the direct benefit through this enables children who maybe in the care of Social services to avail of a daycare provision within their own community

Whiterock creche assoc/WCC operates within a Social economy Framework for part of our work. We are a local employer providing employment for 20 employees in a area of high deprivation . WCC is a non profit taking organisation and all profits are re invested in the charitable purposes of the group.The charity beneficiaries of the centre are the

children and families who use the centre to return to employment training or education.We support black and minority ethnic familes through out West Belfast to enable them to settle into community .

Charitable purposes

The objects of the Company shall be to: (a) Enhance the development and education of young children by providing the necessary facilities for the daily care, recreation and education of children of all ages regardless of religion, culture, race and means; (b) Advance the education and training of the persons who provide such care, education and recreational facilities; (c) Provide training and support for parents and carers of children in child development, parenting and other appropriate subjects so that family members may gain confidence and self-esteem through education and life-long learning.
