These benefits will be evidenced through improved behaviour as a result of having an appreciation of other faiths. 2. The direct benefits which flow from this purpose include the adoption of a moral framework which

encourages people to be good citizens. These benefits will be evidenced through a sense of peace and harmony. 3. The direct benefits which flow from this purpose include enhanced knowledge and skills through receiving education and training. These benefits will be evidenced through records kept by the charity of the numbers of those who have successfully completed training courses and in surveys of living standards. 4. The direct benefits which flow from this purpose include increased levels of knowledge and transferable vocational skills. These benefits will be evidenced through records kept by the charity of the numbers of beneficiaries who have subsequently obtained jobs and work opportunities. 5. The direct benefits which flow from this purpose include a reduction in poverty and hardship leading to a better quality of life for the beneficiaries. These benefits will be evidenced through an improvement in financial circumstances and living standards. 6. The direct benefits which flow from this purpose include individuals becoming and being well as a result of receiving medical care and advice. These benefits will be evidenced through improved health. 7. The direct benefits which flow from this purpose include an increased awareness of human rights issues, an increased knowledge of human rights and civil liberties and an increased ability to achieve fulfilment of their rights by victims of human rights abuse. These benefits will be evidenced through feedback from victims of human rights abuse who have been helped by the charity. 8. The direct benefits which flow from this purpose include an increased understanding between people from diverse backgrounds. These benefits will be evidenced through regular assessments and collation of data on activities carried out by the charity. 9. The direct benefits which flow from this purpose include enhanced knowledge and understanding between different racial groups. These benefits will be evidenced through improved behaviour as a result of having an appreciation of other racial groups. For all purposes: - These do not lead to harm. - The charity’s beneficiaries are the general public and in particular, but not limited to, people living in Pakistan, Malaysia, Thailand and Northern Ireland. - There is no private benefit flowing from these purposes.

What your organisation does

Compassion Group Network has been established to eliminate poverty, endorse human rights, to eliminate extremism and to encourage interface dialogue on the basis of humanity. It will also encourage peace building in Northern Ireland to project into Pakistan and other regions.

Charitable purposes

The charity's objects ("Objects") are specifically restricted to the following: (1) The promotion of religious harmony for the benefit of the public by: a. Educating the public in different religious beliefs including an awareness of their distinctive features and their common ground to promote good relations between persons of different faiths; and b. Promoting knowledge and mutual understanding and respect of the beliefs and practices of different religious faiths. (2) To advance the Christian faith for the benefit of the public mainly, but not exclusively, by means of broadcasting Christian messages of an evangelistic and teaching nature. (3) For the public benefit to promote the education (including social and physical training as well as the teaching and learning of skills and knowledge) of people of all ages in Pakistan and other countries in such ways as the directors think fit. (4) The prevention or relief of poverty or financial hardship anywhere in the world by providing or assisting in the provision of education, training, healthcare projects and all the necessary support designed to enable individuals to generate a sustainable income and be self-sufficient. (5) The relief of financial hardship among people living or working in Pakistan and other countries by the provision of funds and/or providing such persons with goods or services which they could not otherwise afford through lack of means. (6) The relief of sickness and the preservation of health among people residing permanently or temporarily in Pakistan and other countries. (7) To promote human rights (as set out in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and subsequent United Nations conventions and declarations) throughout the world by all or any of the following means: a. Monitoring abuses of human rights; b. Obtaining redress for the victims of human rights abuse; c. Relieving need among the victims of human rights abuse; d. Research into human rights issues; e. Providing technical advice to government and others on human rights matters; f. Contributing to the sound administration of human rights law; g. Commenting on proposed human rights legislation; h. Raising awareness of human rights issues; i. Promoting public support for human rights; j. Promoting respect for human rights among individuals and corporations; k. International advocacy of human rights; l. Eliminating infringements of human rights. In furtherance of that object but not otherwise, the directors shall have power to engage in political activity provided that the directors are satisfied that the proposed activities will further the purposes of the charity to an extent justified by the resources committed and the activity is not the dominant means by which the charity carried out its objects. (8) The promotion of equality and diversity for the public benefit by: a. Advancing education and raising awareness in equality and diversity; and b. Promoting activities to foster understanding between people from diverse backgrounds. (9) The promotion of racial harmony for the public benefit by: a. Promoting knowledge and mutual understanding between different racial groups; b. Advancing education and raising awareness about different racial groups to promote good relations between persons of different racial groups; and c. Working towards the elimination of discrimination on the grounds of race.
