The direct benefits which flows from the purpose of Kerala Association is as follows: • Increased cross community relations • Development of multicultural Arts and Culture These benefits can be demonstrated through feedback from members and the Report produced and published annually. We do not expect any possibility of harm from the working on
this association. The intended beneficiaries are the members of the Kerala Association. We also expect the people of Derry and Strabane District Council to benefit from the activities of our association. The only foreseeable private benefit flowing from this purpose is to the members of the Kerala Association who might own a business and the association uses their services for their activities. This is incidental and necessary. When our members offer their services for our events, we evaluate their charges with market price and usually they quote us cheaper than the market price.

1. The organisation aims to assist the Indian Malayalee (Keralite) Community resident in the Derry and Strabane City Council and surrounding areas. 2. The organisation aims to promote the interests of the Indian Malayalee (Keralite) community to all inhabitants of the area regardless of background. 3. To act and work for the welfare and
development of Keralite community members in Northwest. 4. To adopt the development of talents, skills and abilities within the Keralite community and also with the local community to instil a sense of pride in the recipients own identities. 5. To take independent decisions and act as a spokesperson for Indian Malayalee (Keralite) Community as and when needed. 6. To develop activities for the Keralite community independently or in partnership with local organizations through various means like, workshops, exhibitions, performances, food, music and entertainment. 7. To assist and promote equality and good relations as understood in Section 75 of the NI Act 1998. 8. Development of fund raising methods in order to support the core programme and to exclusively server our organization’s charitable purposes 9. Organise cultural events and activities and community celebrations relevant to or requested by the local community and members of the organisation. 10. Organising, supporting or attending events, this, will assist or promote equality and good relations. 11. Representing the local community where relevant and developing the necessary skills to do this effectively.
