Public benefits

The Trustees believe that our purpose satisfies both elements of the public benefit requirement. The direct benefits which flow from our purpose includes aiding the overall development of pre school aged children in the local area and assisting transition from the home setting to the formal education setting. The benefits are evidenced through

the children who attend the setting becoming more confident, independent and socialised individuals with enhanced personal, social, emotional skills, all of which is detailed on their individual observation record. The purpose does not give rise to any harm. The beneficiaries of this purpose are the children in attendance, their parents, the local primary schools and the local community. There is no private benefit flowing from this purpose.

What your organisation does

Clonduff Playgroup provides a setting where children under statutory school age, from the local area, can experience play based learning through a range of activities, by fully trained and committed staff. We believe our setting provides an opportunity for each child to reach their full potential before entering the formal education programme.
