are evident through the following; 1. Increasing membership year on year(178 members April 2016) 2. Increased attendance at events organised by Age Concern Network of Newcastle and District. 3. Age Concern office seen in the locality of Newcastle District as direct point of contact for older people who are in need of help, friendship, and advice. This can be demonstrated with the number of referrals received from Doctors, Church Bodies and Social Services in Newcastle District. Harm or possibility of harm from the benefit: This is not evident at all through the service of the Charity in Newcastle District. The body is there to provide support, assistance and guidance to the older people of Newcastle District. Who is the benefit for? The charity’s beneficiaries are the older people living in Newcastle District with the objects of improving the conditions of life for older people who wish to avail of the work of the charity and it services. Private benefit: There is no private benefit flowing from the purpose.

available for older people by promoting or helping to promote research, conferences, exhibitions, lectures and training courses. Recruit and train older volunteers to enable them to become involved in the design, development and delivery of services. Encourage working partnerships between the independent, voluntary, community and statutory organisations involved in older peoples issues and to encourage cross community involvement.
