What your organisation does

Dungiven Regeneration Club (DRC) organises and runs classes and workshops in Arts & Crafts to the wider Dungiven community. All classes and workshops enable people from various backgrounds to come together where they can respect and support each other. Being mindful of the high unemployment in the area and the financial impact this has on families

DRC ensures that class fees are reasonable. Classes and workshops are not only held in Dungiven Village but also in the outlying areas to enable those from rural, isolated areas avail of them. All upcoming events including classes are advertised in local papers, church bulletins, shops, flyers, community centres and social media. Regular meetings are held for members to share ideas, evaluate effectiveness and further development and increase membership. In addition to the Classes and workshops the future projects include open day, coffee morning, provide a centrally located premise for locals and visitors to drop in to view the range of Arts & Crafts being produced locally which will also have a positive impact on the area regeneration. Our premises are also available to members of the community to come together as a craft club.
