Public benefits

The benefit that flows from the purpose is the promotion of enjoyment, better understanding and general advancement of the arts and in particular the health, community and economic benefits gained through participation arts and creative activity. As a new organisation we intend to gather information through the use of surveys and feedback from

beneficiaries, partner organisations and stakeholders. These benefits will be evidenced through the documentation and recording of events and their outcomes and through regular internal and external qualitative assessment. There will be regular reporting of charitable activities and financial performance in annual reports, audited annual accounts, and reports to grant funders. The possibility of harm, for example by physical injury incurred by participation in creative or artistic activity is small and is outweighed by the benefit. It is significantly reduced by the policies and procedures to be put in place to address such risks, for example safeguarding and child protection policy, health and safety policy, code of conduct for staff and volunteers. The charity's beneficiaries are the general public in Northern Ireland. Specific projects may address barriers to participation and the needs of specific sections of society.
