The direct benefits which flow from this purpose include promotion of individual personal, social and academic development assisting the transition to adulthood and the encouragement of independent living skills, further education, training or employment. The range of accredited vocational and educational courses, life skills training and social
and recreational activities empower and enrich the lives of the beneficiaries and stimulate independent living. It encourages development of personal confidence and self esteem in a ‘safe’ environment, engendering respect for others and encourages community integration and promotes family life. Benefits are evidenced through feedback from the beneficiaries and their families and carers, funders and stakeholders including RQIA, DELNI and DHSSPS. This purpose does not give rise to any harm. The beneficiaries of this purpose are people with learning difficulties and/or disabilities in Northern Ireland. Private benefits to trustees may arise from ongoing training in good governance, finance etc. through this training trustees gain skills and experience which are transferable to other settings. These skills are incidental and necessary to ensure the benefit is provided to the beneficiaries.

Residential college for students aged 18 years and over with intellectual, physical and / or sensory disabilities. The college provides residential student placements and offers residential students and attending students a range of accredited vocational and educational courses with life skills training and social recreational activities.
