Public benefits
Our beneficiaries are mainly the members of the Muslim community residing in Northwest region. However, the benefit from our charity shall also extend to the wider public irrespective of race, religion or ethnicity. 1-Advancement of citizenship or community development The direct benefits which can flow from the advancement of citizenship or
community development include promoting the Islamic values that coincide with the British values of freedom, tolerance, respect for law, belief in personal and social responsibility and respect for institutions, among the Muslim community either settled, migrated and refugees from other countries. The charity also works to bring together members of various faiths and cultures, for better understanding of Islam, and to learn about other faiths in the area. This is to encourage better integration of Muslims into the local society, and to develop understanding, tolerance and respect for other faiths and cultures. This will be achieved through organizing discussion meetings and lectures. Bringing a better understanding of Muslims and their traditions to the wider society in order to disseminate correct knowledge about Islam and to help differentiate cultural practices from religious practices; Initiate interfaith and intercommunity dialogues, which could help in building bridges between different faiths and cultures and in finding common grounds. 2-Promotion of religious or racial harmony or equality and diversity The direct benefit which flows from the promotion of religious or racial harmony or equality and diversity is that our beneficiaries feel more socially included in the community here. By promoting and celebrating diversity of the different cultures and faiths helps increase the beneficiaries’ desire to be part of the community, feeling safe and wanted. Muslims in the North West region come from different ethnic backgrounds (18 different countries). Hence, it is very critical to promote tolerance, racial harmony and equality amongst them as well as among the local community. Charity help to organise cultural festivals like Eid parties, Iftar parties cultural dress shows and community cooking competitions. Members from other communities are invited to participate and explore the diversity of the community. This enables them to read Holy book (Quran) and helps them to understand its true meanings. There are volunteer people in the community who engage with young children to learn Arabic language. This helps the children to be multilingual and hence encourage diverse community. As a result of these activities, many children have gained knowledge of the teachings of Islam that nurture their Charity aims to establish a library for collecting important books of religious significance.
