In furthering the purpose, the Association build and develop community spurt to improve communication and community activity in the area. The direct benefits which flows from this aspect of the purpose includes providing an opportunity for people to become a member of a community group, social interaction and community engagement through the
locally held community festivals and consultations which helps reduce social isolation. These benefits are demonstrated through feedback from participants and beneficiaries and by the level of attendance at community events. The purposes of our charity will not lead to any harm. The Charity’s beneficiaries are people living in Ballywalter area and its environs. The Association seek to improve recreational facilities to motivate children. The direct benefits which flows from this is the promotion of the local sports facilities, which contributes to the improvement of the health, fitness and well being of the children and young people of Ballywalter .These benefits are demonstrated by the number of children and young people benefiting from locally based service. The purpose of our charity will not lead to any harm. The Charity’s beneficiaries are the children and young people living in Ballywalter area and its environs. The Association seek to improve the general upkeep and environment in the area. The direct benefits which flows from this is Ballywalter is kept clean and tidy through the upkeep and maintenance of the community garden situated on the Main Street. This garden which adds to the attraction of Ballywalter provides a bright and cheerful environment for the people and visitors to the village with a place to sit, relax, socialise and foster the development of a community identity and spirit. Throughout the year there are five beach cleans carried out which includes the removal of litter and other dangerous objects thus making the beach a cleaner safer environment for people to use The purpose of our charity will not lead to any harm. The Charity’s beneficiaries are people living in Ballywalter area and its environs, tourists and day-trippers. These benefits are incidental and necessary to ensure the benefit is provided to our beneficiaries. The organisation seek to secure the provision of services to the village to advance the purpose. The direct benefits which flows from this is through community consultation and lobbying local government a puffin Crossing has been situated on the Main Street which makes crossing the very busy Main Street safer and easier to cross The purpose of our charity will not lead to any harm. Ballywalter Community Action Group work in partnership with locally based youth & community group to run and manage a Seniors Group fortnightly, 50 seniors registered.We plan and coordinate community festivals throughout the year Cultural Evening, 3 day Christmas Festival, Ulster Scots Festival. We work in partnership with a local history group to
preserve and record the history of Ballywalter We upkeep and maintain the community garden and organise general community and beach clean ups. The group lobbies local government and other statutory agencies for the provision of services and health initiatives to the village
