The aim of the NWMM is to demonstrate faith in action by responding effectively to the needs of people in the North West and enable them to achieve their potential. The vision is of a society enriched by a commitment to promote social justice in all aspects of life. Values: Social justice- a commitment to the principles of equality, solidarity and

human rights, that recognises the dignity of every human being. Empowerment- supporting the development of individuals and communities to take more responsibility for and control of their own lives Compassion- living our faith in action through selfless concern for others Inclusion & diversity- a commitment to a welcoming hospitality that treats everyone with dignity and respect, celebrates diversity and enables the marginalised to feel they belong Responsiveness- respond effectively to the changing needs and aspirations of the local community Integrity- being open and transparent in all our activities- doing what we say and saying what we mean Public benefit is demonstrated in a number of ways including: · Providing community facilities in an area of high social deprivation · Reducing the number of people sleeping rough This contributes to increased social cohesion and savings to other areas of the public purse. There is no private benefit flowing from the purpose and there is no harm.

What your organisation does

NWMM does all of the above by providing the following: Homelessness: to respond effectively to homelessness in the North West - continuously improve the quality of service provided in the Crawford Square Hostel to people who are homeless in the North West - develop the Drop in support to people who are homeless and those who have been resettled -

increase the move on housing options for people who are homeless - expand and develop the resettlement and floating support provision for people in need - measure and report on the changes and outcomes for residents - collaborate with other relevant bodies to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the response to people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness Community: to respond effectively to the needs of the local community in the North West - to develop NWMM services for older people - to respond effectively to emerging needs in the development of new services - act as an effective public policy voice in relation to issues of concern to communities in the North West - to effectively collaborate with other agencies in influencing public policy and practice and the development of services - to continue to develop services at the Clooney Centre

The Trust is established for charitable purposes only, specifically the advancement of religion, the advancement of education, the relief of sickness and advancement of health, the relief of poverty, the advancement of community development and promotion of social justice.
