The direct benefits which flow from our purpose include the : relief of suffering and distress and maltreatment of stray, neglected, unwanted or vulnerable animals who are in need of care and protection by the provision of a rescue and re-homing service and a sanctuary for the care, protection, treatment, security and temporary or permanent
accommodation of such animals; fostering and encouraging the formation of a humane attitudes among people in Northern Ireland towards animals, especially those which are sick or stray or in need of assistance, and to this end to provide practical assistance to such animals which are in need of such assistance; education of the public in matters pertaining to animal welfare and the care and treatment of animals. These benefits are demonstrated through the number of animals which are rehomed through our sanctuary which will lead to a reduction in the number of stray, neglected, unwanted or vulnerable animals throughout Northern Ireland. These benefits will also be demonstrated by the reduction of the number of dogs unnecessarily destroyed in our local council pounds. Our purpose does not give rise to any harm. The beneficiaries of these purposes are the public throughout Northern Ireland.
