Public benefits
The direct benefit which flows from this purpose includes improvement of conditions of life for the beneficiaries and their families, promotion of social inclusion and relief from feelings of social isolation, preservation of family life and alleviation of feelings of sickness and suffering. Benefits are evidenced through feedback from
beneficiaries and their families. This purpose does not give rise to any harm. The beneficiaries of this purpose are members of the PSNI, pensioners of the RUC GC and / or the PSNI, ex-members of the RUC GC and / or the PSNI who are not pensioners, widows and dependents and partners of any of the previously mentioned persons who are deceased, members and former members of the PSNI who are sick or former members of the RUC GC who are sick in Northern Ireland. A private benefit to trustees may arise from our programme of ongoing training and good governance etc and through this training trustees gain skills and experience which are transferable to other settings. However, these skills are incidental and necessary to ensure that the benefit is provided to the beneficiary.
