(1) The public benefits that flow from the relief of poverty are: (i) reduction in hardship and poverty, leading to a better quality of life for the beneficiaries; (ii) improved mental, physical and emotional well-being; (iii) access to accurate and relevant information. (2) The public benefit that flows from advancing education is enhanced
educational attainment, transferable skills, capabilities and capacities and improved potential to secure employment. (3) The public benefits that flow from preserving and protecting health are: (i) reduced levels of stress and anxiety and improvement in health; (ii) greater knowledge of health support and services available. (4) The public benefit that flows from providing facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and other leisure time occupations is enhanced quality of life and sense of well-being through engagement with and participation in activities and events that bring people together, leading to improvements in well-being, quality of life and a more stable and cohesive community. (5) The public benefits that flow from developing the capacity and skills of the members of the economically and socially disadvantaged community are: (i) increased self-awareness, confidence and resilience and the development of social and communication skills and abilities and an enhanced sense of purpose and fulfilment; (ii) encouraging active, positive citizenship and involvement in community life. The beneficiaries are members of the public living or working in the area of benefit. These benefits can be evidenced through: monitoring records kept by Tullycarnet Community Support Services and other agencies; independent evaluations of the activities and impact of TCSS; the findings of community surveys; and feedback from the beneficiaries. No harm or private benefit arises from any of these purposes.

accredited and unaccredited, throughout the year. • A free back to work programme at Inspire Business Centre, delivered throughout the year. • New/updated CV Health and saving lives • Relief from social isolation weekly luncheon service. • Weekly Older peoples activities/programme. • Warm homes schemes promotion. • Healthy eating campaign online courses/competitions promoted throughout the services. • Access to Foodbank services for locals (founder member/and on the management committee) • Pre-school dental health programme carried out in the classroom with an external Qualified Dentist providing dental checks and a daily tooth brushing activity daily in the pre-school. • Fitness dance class held weekly for all ages in Tullycarnet. • Regular fitness Freddy days for the 3/5 year olds along with sports activities daily for the pre-school children. • Satellite counselling clinic (free) provided by “East Belfast Community Counselling” in our main office Tullycarnet, dealing with a wide range mental health issues including drug abuse.
