The Trustees believe that our purposes satisfy the Public benefit Requirement. (1) Citizenship and Community Development The benefits following from this purpose include improved health and well-being, improved provision of facilities and Information and reduction in social isolation. This is evidenced through the increase in number of

activities provided, general feedback and evaluations and by the diversity of groups we reach through our information support and guidance. This purpose does not give rise to any harm which has been evidenced through feedback from participants. (2) Education The benefits that flow from this purpose include provision of additional programmes and opportunities, enhanced knowledge and capacity, and reduction of stress and anxiety due to rural isolation. This is evidenced through provision of education programmes, increasing number of participants, general feedback and evaluation. There is no harm associated with this purpose. The beneficiaries are from Broughshane and the surrounding area. There is no private benefit. (3) Relief of those in Need This is evidenced by the partnerships we have made with support agencies in this field of work. We have had positive programme evaluations and personal feedback about improved living conditions and additional income from entitlements. The trustee does not see any potential harm from this purpose. Our activities benefit the people of Broughshane and the surrounding area. The only private benefit is the additional knowledge gained but this benefit is incidental and necessary to ensure the benefit is provided to our beneficiaries.
