Public benefits
Purpose 1: Improved relationships between home and school The benefit which flows from this purpose includes funding for additional resources for the school and links built with the local community. This is demonstrated through having an active PTA that works in partnership with the school and engages parental support. This purpose does not lead
to harm. The benefit is for children at Meadow Bridge Primary school. Charity trustees (PTA committee members) are usually also parents at the school which their children attend and hence gain benefit in the same way as all other beneficiaries. This benefit is incidental and necessary to ensure the benefit is provided to all beneficiaries. Purpose 2: Advancing the education of pupils in the school The benefit which flows from this purpose includes increased educational progress and attainment of pupils in the school and links built with the local community. This is demonstrated through pupils having access to resources, events, activities and links with the local community which are not available through direct school funding. This purpose does not lead to harm.

Our Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is a team of parents and staff working together to support our school community. We are an active PTA, organising social fundraising events for the families and children of Meadow Bridge Primary School and the wider local community. We volunteer within the school, regularly supporting events such as Sports Day,
Nativity Performance and Spring Concert. We host a variety of events throughout the school year, inviting all parents, staff, and the wider community to join in. In recent years we have had major success with our Meadow Bridge Tractor Run, Christmas Fair, and May Family Fun Day. We also organise other fun activities throughout the school year such as our half term discos, table quiz and ‘Loose Change Challenge’. Our events are designed to raise funds and bring pupils, parents and the wider community together throughout the year. In collaboration with the Principal and Teachers, we agree how to use the funds to benefit the school and pupils. Recent purchases include sound and lighting equipment for productions, sporting equipment, literacy resources, musical instruments, and iPads for classroom use. While fundraising is a big part of what we do, we also focus on promoting social inclusion, building community relationships, and providing a valuable communication link between parents and the school. We strive to involve all parents and school staff by regularly seeking their input and feedback, giving everyone the opportunity to leverage their skills by contributing to PTA events and ensuring open communication through newsletters and message updates.
