Public benefits

The organisation meets the public benefit requirements by providing bursaries to facilitate access and support to students, encouraging access and support on entry to further and higher level education. The benefits will be direct, to students in receipt of our bursaries, indirect by incentivising students to compete for bursaries and wider

benefits arising from the promotion of further and higher levels of educational attainment. Many of the students receiving bursaries will be from educationally and socially disadvantaged backgrounds and communities and in providing support we aim to provide relief from disadvantage arising by reason of youth and in so doing assist in the relief of poverty arising from the lack of educational opportunity. Access to bursaries will be available to all part, current and future pupils without prejudice. The organisation will raise funds from voluntary donations, in particular past pupils of the Boys Model Belfast, and will make available bursaries to assist past, current and future pupils to access and progress to studies in further and higher education.

What your organisation does

Seeks to raise funds from the community (in particular past pupils) and use such funds to provide bursaries to assist current pupils to accept places to further their studies in the areas of further and higher education.
