Public benefits
Gillygooley Youth & Community Development Association seeks to promote community awareness and responsibility and provides the means whereby people and organisations based in the Gillygooley area can come together. By establishing Gillygooley Orange Hall as a community centre we provide an affordable and locally based facility for organisations
and people of all ages and genders to meet and participate in a range of educational, cultural, sporting, musical and social activities. This allows us to enhance the opportunities available to the inhabitants of the greater Gillygooley area and it is important for us to maintain our rural identity. These direct benefits are evidenced through the membership records of the various organisations using the premises and also through attendance at community social events. No harms arise from the work of the association The Orange Hall is owned by Gillygooley Orange Lodge and while there is no financial benefit to them for leasing the premises to Gillygooley Youth & Community Development Association the lease ensures that the premises are maintained and kept in a good state of repair
