Public benefits

CHARITABLE PURPOSE – To advance citizenship and community development: Kesh Development Association strives to benefit the Communities of Kesh and the surrounding area by delivering a range of services, programmes and activities and to avail of funding opportunities to promote rural regeneration. We work with the general public within this

geographical area without distinction of age, sex, race, political, religious or other opinion. The benefit that flows from this purpose is that the organisation can deliver a range of services and activities, in partnership with statutory, community and voluntary organisations, which can help improve the quality of life for local people and also improve or add to community facilities. Through our activities people have an opportunity to develop a range of knowledge and skills that allow them to improve the conditions of their own lives. Our activities encourage people of different faiths to interact with each other and build positive relationships. Through our interaction with external agencies we are able to offer a greater range of programmes and activities which can add value to the work we do and services we offer to our community. Through our providing of new or improved community facilities, we are able to offer training and courses locally, also with some facilities we are encouraging increased tourism thus leading to a more sustainable community and one that is more aesthetically pleasing. There is no potential harm flowing from the purposes of KDA Our constitution offers the potential for private benefit to be gained by an individual or organisation but only if the benefit lends itself to the work of the Association and approved by the Management Committee.
