Public benefits

The purposes of the Trust are the advancement of the Christian Religion, the relief of poverty and the relief of sickness. The benefits that flow from the purpose of the advancement of Christian Religion are to raise an awareness and understanding of the Christian Religion and its life transforming effect both on local society and further afield

in the world. This gives an improved sense of value, well-being and hope in society The benefits that flow from the purposes of the relief of poverty and the relief of sickness include improved health outcomes in developing countries such as Kenya. The benefits of varied projects the Trust will support which relive both sickness and poverty can have long lasting positive effects both in the UK and further afield. These benefits can be evidenced through informal feedback from the organisations, associations, churches and individuals who have been supported by the Trust to provide benefit. The trust does not anticipate that any harm should arise from any of these purposes, although it is apparent that health and safety standards in many countries of the world are inferior to that in Northern Ireland.

What your organisation does

The trust contributes to projects and initiatives that are consistent with its purposes of the advancement of the Christian Religion, the relief of poverty and the relief of sickness. The Trust provides eventide and rest homes for missionaries in Northern Ireland and Scotland and also does provide benefit in many other countries through other

organisations, associations, churches and individuals. The Trust has ongoing commitments to support partners providing benefits in Moldova and Kenya, but will also make donations to others to provide benefits in other areas of the world, without an ongoing commitment.
