Public benefits

Purpose Enhance the development and education of young children by providing the necessary facilities for the daily care, recreation and education of children of all ages regardless of gender, religion, culture, race, ability and means; Benefits: - The benefits associated with this purpose is to ensure that children learn and achieve their full

potential not only in an academic sense but also in a social capacity in order to move society away from the single identities of the past. With a recognised need for preschool provision in the area the organisation began a preschool in 2010 which was supported by the department of education NI with parents being allowed to access funded places. Since its inception we have grown the number in the room to the point where we are registered for 16 children. Purpose Encourage, enable and support the involvement of parents and carers in their children’s learning and development. Benefits: - Ensures parents fully understand the needs of their children and have the opportunity to help ensure these needs are met. This in turn gives the parent a much larger role in shaping and understanding the developmental needs and path of their children which may not be realised through other childcare routes. This influence and knowledge in turn improves the mental health of the parents as they know exactly how their children are being cared for. b. The growth of the charity from it humble beginnings with 8 children in an afterschool setting in 2002 has seen its demand grow to the organisation it is today which is registered to care for 51 children aged from 6 months to 11 years, benefiting 91 children and 42 families. Parents continue to take an active part in the welfare of their children whilst under our care with a number volunteering on various committees and indeed act as directors to ensure the charities success and future. Evidence is also gathered with the use of parent comments forms which are distributed annually and feedback is monitored by the management group. Ultimately public beneficiaries include:- 1. The children benefit by being cared for in a safe friendly environment and having their needs and individuality supported and developed. 2. Parents benefit because they are able to return to work or education safe in the knowledge that their children are well cared for. 3. Staff benefit with the assurance of secure local employment. 4. Local businesses benefit as we aim to support local businesses in the supply of our resources. 5. Local Training providers as we annually mentor 2 students. 6. The wider family circle benefits as the provision of value childcare reduces the dependence on grandparents etc. Allowing them to enjoy their golden years.
