Randalstown Meeting House (RMH ) holds meetings each Sunday and throughout the week for the promulgation of the Christian religion. There is a time of worship, a message is given and there is the opportunity for prayer and counselling following the meetings. A meeting is also held for children. The direct benefits flowing from this are a moral
improvement in society and the improvement of physical, mental and spiritual welfare of the people attending. It provides an opportunity for people who may otherwise be marginalised and lonely within society to meet with others and receive encouragement and support. On Friday nights RMH provides tea and coffee to general public heading home from a night out. No charge is made. This is a street pastoral ministry. This provides benefit in building relationships within the community and seeking to avoid loneliness and isolation. RMH organises summer holiday camps for young people. Typical activities include can include archery, canoeing, mountaineering etc. The direct benefit of this is to improve the physical, spiritual, mental and social welfare of those attending. It provides an opportunity for young people to meet with others and receive encouragement and support. RMH organises an annual day trip to the sea side including a meal, free of charge for members of the public. This provides benefit in building relationships within the community and seeking to avoid loneliness and isolation. RMH holds meeting in schools and the community dealing with issues such as drug and alcohol addiction allowing open discussion with parents, young people and those directly affected by these problems. The benefits flowing from this are a moral improvement in society and the improvement of physical, mental, social and spiritual welfare of the people attending. RMH has supported and supports various charities and individuals including missionaries, a holiday home for the disabled and mission societies. The benefits of this are a moral improvement in society, relief of poverty and improvement of physical welfare and health of people across the world. No harm arises from the purposes. The benefits can be demonstrated through feedback received from the individuals who attend the various activities and services provided, and from those who receive support. Benefit can also be demonstrated by the fact that the activities mentioned are consistently well attended. No private benefit is foreseen save that the trustees and members of their families will attend the meetings and activities organised by RMH. These benefits are incidental and necessary to ensure the benefit is provided to members of the public.
