What your organisation does

Our organisation encourages organ, bone marrow and stem cell transplant recipients to lead an active and healthy life. We provide sporting and recreational activities to rehabilitate individuals post transplantation. We do this through organising sporting and recreational events, participation in the British and World Transplant Games and social

activities. We actively promote the Organ Donor Register Scheme through the use of all forms of media( print, tv, social media), by sharing of personal experiences and attendance at events. Transplant Sport NI provides a network of support and contacts for recipients and their families and friends thus enhancing their quality of life, promoting a better understanding of a healthy lifestyle and general advancement of the enjoyment of sport. Benefits of the charity can be evidenced up in the increasing number of members attending the British Games, gaining medals and sharing success in local and regional media, with aim of showcasing the benefits of transplantation and to increase the number of people who will register to become organ donors and discuss the issue with their family.
