The direct benefits which flows from these purposes are: the delivery of services by voluntary and community organisations, conferences, seminars, training and information sessions for the inhabitants within the area of benefit. This benefits which flow from these purposes are evidenced through feedback and evaluation from beneficiaries,

government statistics and annual reports. We believe that these purposes will lead to no clearly identified harm. The charity’s beneficiaries are the community and voluntary sector in East Belfast, their members, and the local community of East Belfast. There may be private benefits for beneficiaries from the provision of training and support, but these benefits would be incidental and necessary to ensure the wider charitable benefit is provided to our beneficiaries.

What your organisation does

Provision of full service office space, to community and voluntary organisations working in East Belfast. We also make provision for conferences, seminars and training aimed solely at the community and voluntary sector in East Belfast. Preservation of our B1 listed building formerly known and built 1924-1926 as Templemore Avenue School.

Charitable purposes

To promote the benefit of the inhabitants of East Belfast (the “area of benefit”) without distinction of sex, sexual orientation, age, race, ethnicity, or political, religious or other opinion by all or any of the following means: (a) The advancement of community development by providing resources, facilities and amenities for community and voluntary groups and organisations; (b) The provision of public amenities; (c) The conversion, retention and preservation of the listed building known as Templemore Avenue School, being place of historical and architectural interest; (d) The promotion of such other charitable purposes as may from time to time be determined.
