Public benefits

Purpose 1 – direct benefits: Friends of St Dallan’s will raise funds to provide extra resources and facilities (not normally provided by the Education & Library Board) for the benefit of pupils at St Dallan’s Primary School in Warrenpoint. Benefits are demonstrated through the amount of money raised per year, the purchase of resources for the

benefit of the school community, feedback from children, parents and teachers. The purposes of our charity will not lead to any harm. The charity’s beneficiaries are children and families of children attending St Dallan’s Primary School in Warrenpoint. Private benefit to trustees may arise from our fundraising as all trustees are parents / guardians of children attending the school. Through volunteering as trustees, individuals may also gain skills and experience which are transferable to other settings. These are incidental and necessary to ensure the benefit is provided to our beneficiaries. Purpose 2 – direct benefits: Friends of St Dallan’s will foster positive relationships between staff, parents / guardians of St Dallan’s pupils and others associated with the school through organising and running fundraising social events. This will lead to increased sense of community involvement and pride in the school. Benefits are demonstrated through attendance and support at fundraising and social events, also feedback from families, teachers and the wider school community. The purposes of our charity will not lead to any harm. The charity’s beneficiaries are children and families of children attending St Dallan’s Primary School in Warrenpoint. Private benefit to trustees may arise from our fundraising as all trustees are parents / guardians of children attending the school. What your organisation does

Friends of St Dallan’s is the voluntary parent-run fundraising association for the school. Our committee is made up of busy parents who want the best for all our children. We raise funds to support the school by holding various fundraising activities during the year including quiz nights, Christmas card fundraising, raffles and more.
