Public Benefit Statement The Public benefit flowing from the advancement and improvement of agriculture is the education of the general public in the importance of this sector and the impact it has on everyone’s daily life. The benefit flowing from the promotion of knowledge and understanding of local rural life is to educate the inhabitants of Co

Armagh and its environs and provide them with an opportunity to view, sample and come to a better understanding of rural life and the countryside. The Public Benefit flowing from the advancement and encouragement of the safeguarding of the environment is the education of the general public in the importance of the sustainability of our environment and the preservation of the countryside. No harm flows from these benefits.

What your organisation does

The Show Society organises and holds an annual 1 day Agricultural Show showcasing livestock, home industries ie craft work, baking & horticultural displays and through exhibitors the show also promotes animal welfare and renewable/sustainanble energy sources. The food exhibit promotes local produce and edcuates the public in "farm to fork" - the

origin of their food and the importance of this sector.

Charitable purposes

Advance, promote and improve agriculture in all its branches and in its allied and home industries in particular by the holding of an annual show; Promote the benefit of the inhabitants of County Armagh and its environs (the “area of benefit”) through the advancement of education, in particular by promoting a knowledge and understanding of local rural life and an interest in the agricultural industry in general, and the provision of facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and other leisure-time occupation with the object of improving the conditions of life of the said inhabitants; Advance and encourage the protection and safeguarding of the environment
