Public benefits
The public benefit flowing from the group's purposes are that women from the Ardstraw area will be able to avail of training courses, information workshops, meetings and educational trips. As a result women living in a rural area will have increased knowledge, skills, self-confidence & as a result we will reduce isolation & poverty and improve
physical & mental health and wellbeing. The charity's beneficiaries are those women who attend the classes, workshops & meetings as well as their families. The only private benefit flowing from the purposes is that trustees will benefit from attending the various workshops & training courses, however, this is incidental and necessary to increase the purpose of the organisation. There is no harm flowing from the purposes. The public benefit will be demonstrated by evaluations completed at the end of the training courses & workshops. We will also obtain feedback from participants through word of mouth at focus group discussions. Regular meetings with the committee will also highlight learning and needs of the group. An annual report is also presented at the AGM each year identifing the achievements of the group.
